Frequently Asked Questions

  • Why is my candle not as smooth after burning?

This is a tell tale sign that the candle is pure soy wax and will not affect the burn or scent of your candle.

  • Why Soy wax?
    • Cleaner burn, no toxins/pollutants
    • Biodegradable and water soluble
    • Soy wax is made of soybeans, which is a natural renewable source
    • Lasts 30-50% longer than traditional paraffin wax candles
  • How long do your products last?

Once following our candle care tips, our 8 oz last approximately 35- 40 hours and our 4 oz last approximately 18- 20 hours. Our wax sachets last approximately 1-2 months.

  • What size candle should I get for a specific room?

Our 4 oz candles are perfect for small bathrooms, powder rooms and smaller bedrooms. Our 8 oz candles are perfect for standard size bedrooms, bathrooms and small to medium size living areas.

  • Why do some candles have an off white or yellow tint?

Soy wax is naturally white in color. We use “clean” fragrances that range in color from clear to light yellow and sometimes light brown. If your candle has a tint when purchase or it develops over time, it’s completely natural and will not affect the scent/quality of the product.

  • Candle Care & Safety

To optimize your Pour’ed Wax Candle experience, we recommend the following:

    • Soy wax has a memory and the first burn is the most important. On its first burn keep your candle lit until the entire surface has liquefied. This will ensure a more even and slower burn for the life of the candle.
    • We all love to burn candles all day, but ideally candles should be lit for a maximum of 4 hours.
    • Trim your wicks to ¼” before each light
    • Don’t blow out your candles instead, screw on the lid until the flame dies, then remove the lid to allow the candle to cool entirely.
    • Always extinguish your candles before leaving the room and definitely before you go to bed.
    • Never burn a candle on or near anything that can easily catch fire
    • Keep out of reach from children and pets
    • Never touch or move a burning candle
    • Don’t burn a candle that has ½” or less of wax remaining. You can continue to enjoy your candle on a candle/wax melt warmer.
